◄ Browse back  Click on thumbnail to enlarge image     DRESTER 1050 Water based gun cleaner DR1050 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE For best cleaning result, spray guns should be cleaned immediately after use. 1.CLEANING Before the machine is used for the fi rst time, the fi ltrate container must be fi lled to 3/4 of the volume with clean water. This water will be re-used (recycled water). * Disconnect the spray gun from compressed air and empty any remaining paint into a paint waste container. To activate the pump, press the foot pedal .As long as the foot pedal is pressed down, recycled water (filtrated water) will be pumped through the cleaning brush when the ball valve is open.Pull the trigger on the rinse gun and press the footpedal to get recycled water through the rinse gun. * Clean the cup and the cap using the brush.Use the rinse gun to rinse it * Clean the paint channel of the spray gun by placing the paint inlet against the tapered nozzle of the rinse gun * Clean the outside of the spray gun using the brush.Use the rinse gun to rinse it * Dry the spray gun , cup and cap using the blow gun ın addition to the steps above, you can connect your spray gun to the blow-out air line and pull the trigger to blow out any remaining fl uid. 2. FLOCCULATION AND FILTRATION When the mix of paint and water reaches the level of the working platform it is time to perform the fl occulation and fi ltration. It is important that the fl occulation is thoroughly carried out. If not the fi lters will become obstructed and cannot be re-used. * Make sure the fi ltrate container is clean and has maximum one inch of fl uid left. * Remove the working platform * Turn the lever to start the agitation. * While stirring with a measuring stick or similar, add fl occulation powder, as recomended by the paint manufacturer, usually approximately fi ve scoops for full batch using Drester 9211 fl occulation powder. * When all fl occulation powder is thouroughly mixed in, let the agitation run for three minutes. Let it rest for one minute then turn the agitator on for one more minute. * Remove any sludge, left from previous fi ltration, from the pre-fi lter and open the drain valve to drain the dirty water through the fi lters. * Clean the inside of the sink using the cleaning brush and close the drain valve.Re-fi t the working platform NOTE: Clean the sink imidiately after draining, to prevent paint residue build up. CHANGING THE FILTER The pre-fi lter collects most of the coagulated sludge, while the main fi lter collects the fi ner paint particles. Remove the sludge from the pre-fi lter after each coagulation process (once it is completely dry, the sludge is easy to remove from the fi lter). By doing so the pre-fi lter can be re-used up to 10 times. The main fi lter will gradually become blocked after trapping the fi ner paint particles. In general, the main fi lter can be used for up to 5 fl occulation processes. The main fi lter must however be changed every 1-2 months, otherwise there is a risk that mould will develop. SAFETY INFORMATION Hazards may arise from improper use of the DRESTER 1050. In order to maintain the high safety standard of the unit, it is important to follow these instructions. • Do not operate the unit until you have read and fully understood this entire User’s Manual. • Keep this User’s Manual available and in legible condition near the unit. Every user should know where to fi nd the User’s Manual. • Install, use, and maintain the unit as described in the instructions. • Use only original Drester replacement parts. • Workplace operating instructions should be formulated on the basis of this manual and translated into the language spoken by the employees. Make sure all employees understand safe procedures. • Do not modify or in any way alter the unit. • Avoid contact with solvent liquid and vapor. Refer to the solvents’ MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). • Wear chemical goggles or similar to protect your eyes. Wear chemical-resistant gloves to prevent skin contact. Wear chemical-resistant clothing to protect against spills or splash. • Do not allow anyone suffering from respiratory problems or allergies to solvents to operate the machine. • Do not smoke, eat or drink while close to the unit. Wash hands before eating, drinking, or smoking. • Spray guns cleaned in the unit must be suitable for cleaning in gun cleaning machines using water or infl ammable waterborne solutions. WARRANTY Hedson Technologies AB will replace all faulty parts on the DRESTER 1050 with new parts in accordance with the “Warranty Terms for Hedson Technologies AB”. This warranty only remains valid if the machine is used in the prescribed manner, and it does not cover the cost of repairs. Always state the machine’s serial number and year of manufacture if making a claim under warranty. These can be found on the machine’s silver-coloured rating plate. The warranty terms may vary from country to country. The importer can provide you with details.
